Scalp problems
The scalp is made up of good bacteria that evolve in a healthy environment to preserve skin and hair. If the microbiome is affected and suffers from an imbalance, the scalp can quickly develop problems like irritation, tenderness, or dandruff. This is why it is important to identify your condition in order to be able to treat it.
Too often neglected, the health of the scalp can lead to certain inconveniences that can be treated, most of the time, using appropriate and gentle hair care. Since the scalp has the same dermatological structure as the skin of our body, its maintenance should be similar to the maintenance of the epidermis. Your scalp will systematically present clearly visible symptoms in the event of an imbalance of its hydration or in case of the appearance of any pathology.
A healthy microbiome can be disrupted by factors such as using unsuitable hair care or products, chemical burn to the skin, heat from styling tools, tap water, pollution, stress, and food diet. In the event of an imbalance of the flora, the hair can lose its vitality, strength and beauty, while the scalp itself can develop itching, tenderness and irritation.
Shampoos and treatments designed to soothe most diseases affecting the scalp are available to the public. Among these diseases, we include dry or oily dandruff, psoriasis, eczema and seborrheic dermatitis. Any problem with the skin requires specific treatment and it is not uncommon to seek advices from a dermatologist or a trichologist. Indeed, certain pathologies of the scalp are treatable but not curable and can be contagious.
Note that the scalp and hair are two very distinct biological entities and often need different care.
