CHI's Ionic Permanent Shine hair color is a permanent hair color formulated without ammonia or PPD to be gentle on the hair fiber, while delivering long-lasting, vibrant, and multidimensional color without damaging the hair. Available in over 100 intermixable shades, they can be used to modify color, darken, lighten, completely cover gray hair, or touch up a root, to meet all your needs.

How to use

Mixing ratio: 1:1 with CHI developer.

For Same-Level or Darker Color

Use CHI 10 Volume Developer. Apply the color to dry hair, from roots to ends, working in fine sections and applying a generous amount of product.

Processing time: 30 minutes without heat.

For Gray Coverage

Use CHI 20 Volume Developer. Start the application in the area with the highest percentage of gray. If applying color to regrowth only, do not extend the product beyond the new growth.

It is recommended to use the 'Coverage' series, with shades starting with '50-..'

Processing time: 35 minutes without heat.

Always check results before rinsing.

For Lighter Color on Natural Hair

CHI 40 Volume Developer for up to 3 levels of lift.
CHI 30 Volume Developer for up to 2 levels of lift.
CHI 20 Volume Developer for up to 1 level of lift.

Step 1: Apply the color to dry hair, mid-lengths and ends only.
Work in fine sections and apply a generous amount of product, leaving approximately 2 cm from the scalp.

Processing time: 15 minutes without heat.

Step 2: Blot excess product with a towel.

Prepare a fresh formula and apply it to the root area, as well as mid-lengths and ends.

Additional processing time: 20 minutes without heat.
